Happy Republic Day.......let's celebrate

On this eve of our Republic Day what are the first thoughts which come to mind?

Obviously the progress made by our Nation from the day we got our Freedom and Independence till today....the infrastructure built, the flyovers, the railway tracks, the power stations, the water dams, the 6 lane highways, the airports, the metro, the malls, the telecom boom, and so many other things which have signaled our progress.

Imagine where we were when we started out, and where we have now reached. The growth has been phenomenal in spite of economic slowdown, in spite of rising oil prices and rising dollar.

Yet we could have done better.....we could have recorded more growth, more development could have been made, more manufacturing could have been done, yet the growth was slow....

Point is who is responsible for the slow growth......is it the Govt alone which is responsible for the decline? After all the real investors are the private sector, so why are they shying away from investment and if they fail to invest, how can the Govt be blamed?

If things are read in the proper perspective, the private sector is more responsible for the slow growth rather than the Govt.....after all the private sector has to take the initiatives in investing their capital and lending a helping hand in making the Country grow....

Anyway that's old news and we should look to the future......let's all make the Country grow and make it a Super Power in its own right.....

Cheers on that thought......A Happy Republic Day to all of you

Wardha, Maharashtra – Leaders of Local Bodies need to be involved in political decision making if democracy had to be strengthened in the country, Congress Vice President Shri Rahul Gandhi said on Friday in Wardha.
Speaking to representatives of local bodies at the party’s open election manifesto event, Shri Gandhi said local bodies should be given more powers if the country’s political system had to work better.
“Decision making of political parties should include representatives of local bodies. Their voice should be heard by political parties. I will get this done hundred percent,” Rahul Gandhi assured village Pradhans and other local leaders from across India.
Shri Gandhi said that local leaders were not consulted when parties identified their candidates for State Assembly and Parliament. He pointed out that the Congress party was initiating a new process to select candidates from 15 parliamentary constituencies, where it would take into account the views of local leaders and party members.
The task before us today is to make the voice of the MP powerful in the Lok Sabha, the voice of the MLA powerful in the Assembly and the voice of the Pradhan powerful in the village, according to Rahul Gandhi.
Shri Gandhi said that for India to become a superpower it must do three things. First, empower millions of grassroots level workers and elected representatives. Second, empower women, who constitute 50 per cent of India’s population. And third, provide systematic employment to the youth.
Close to 300 elected representatives from Panchayati Raj institutions had gathered in Wardha to give their inputs and suggestions. For the past one month, the Congress party and Shri Rahul Gandhi have been holding dialogue with different groups to incorporate their suggestions in the manifesto.

Rahul Gandhi was in Amethi for two days - the love he got and received is there for all to see....he was accompanied by his sister Priyanka

If you work for your people surely you get the results......

Hope the people can take a cue out of #Rahul's performance for his constituency and the amount of hard work and solid work he and his organization have put in.....

This splendid example set up by Rahul Gandhi can be followed by all his party members and this way they can improve the lot of the common people in their respective constituency....

Good luck Rahul Gandhi and may your tribe increase....keep up the good work, we know how sincere you are for the cause of your people especially women....

Cheers!

I want to empower the women of #India says Rahul Gandhi

(Images : Courtesy - Indian National Congress)

Rahul Gandhi interacted with the women of India at an interactive platform called 'Your Voice Our Pledge' where he was seeking the opinions of a very strong but vulnerable section - the women of India.
Rahul wanted their voice on a host of problems and invited suggestions from them in incorporating them in the Congress manifesto for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections 2014...
It was heartening to see Rahul Gandhi listening patiently to the views of women from all over India......and they were well represented though more women from the absolutely weaker section should have been heard...
Rahul Gandhi should have stayed on a bit more longer and replied to all the views expressed....the time given was slightly less....yet the whole interaction went off well and the views expressed were really illuminating....
In fact he should have these interaction with women more often and in different parts of the Country so that he can get to hear and interact with as many views as possible...his young ministers can also do the same in their region.....
After all the backbone of any democracy is the dignity and empowerment of its women....
Rahul Gandhi has also called for passing of the Women Reservation Bill in Parliament which will empower women to enter the law making process and gain their rightful place in society...
Cheers for #Rahul Gandhi and his dynamic vision for the Congress Party

kuch panktiya dil se.........

kisse ki zindagi me dukh is kadar na bhar jaaye,
ke phir zindagi bhi ek dard nazar aaye,
dukh dekar insaan ko ehsaas karata hai khuda,
ke aye bande tera naseeb mere haath mein hain.

dukho ka yeh matlab nahi ki khushi ab khatam hai,
sirf ek ehsaas hai ki
 jo dukh paar gaya,
wohi khushi ka hakdaar hai.

apne asliyat ko na bhool,
mat bhool ke tere upar hi ek khuda hai,
jo tujhe tera jeevan kya hai
iska ehsaas karata aur samjhata hai.

insaan ko kya hai haq pohachta
ki kisse bhi insaan ki zindagi me jhake,
kya har paraye cheez pe tera hi haq hai,
khuda se darr, tu bhi uski mehr pe zindagi ka haqdaar hai....
