Happy Birthday Nargis Fakhri.....
Nargis Fakhri - its her birthday today - born on 20th October 1979 - she's made a name for herself in her very first appearance in Imtiaz Ali's film Rockstar opposite dream star Ranbir Kapoor. She was noticed in that film for her elegant beauty and outspoken performance....however it's a pity she hasn't been repeated with Ranbir....
She was recently noticed again for her performance in Madras Cafe and got lots of acclaim.
She was also recently seen in a sizzling song in 'Phata Poster Nikla Hero' and will again be seen in David Dhawan's 'Main Tera Hero'....which also stars Ileana D'cruz and Varun Dhawan...
Here's wishing this exquisite beauty all the best and of course a very happy dreamy birthday....Muah !

The gold hunt begins in Unnao......
It's a tale akin to Mackenna's Gold - a saint allegedly dreams of tons of gold buried underneath the ground and appeals to the Govt to get the gold excavated for the welfare of the State.
It all started with Sant Shobhan Sarkar who media reports claim dreamt that Raja Ram Bux Singh who was executed by the British after the mutiny of 1857 came to him in his dreams and requested him to take care of the treasured gold buried inside the ruins of the fort.....although there are conflicting versions on this....
Sant Shobhan Sarkar who is well known in that area of Daudiya Khera in District Unnao of Uttar Pradesh and surrounding areas as a saint of stature who is also known to have allegedly cured people of their cancers and has generally a reputation of a learned yet simple person having divine powers.....
The site was carefully surveyed and finally after a detailed report of Geological Survey of India confirmed the presence of 'some' metallic object underneath the ground, a excavation has been ordered under the supervision of the Archaeological Survey of India.
The same was started on 18th October 2013....
The digging will see results in about a month's time or maybe slightly less....however the excitement is palpable in that area - people from far and near have started gathering out of curiosity, makeshift eatery stalls have come up, and of course the media has descended there in large numbers....
My take on this - I believe that if Sant Shobhan Sarkar has some scientific and even other beliefs further fortified by the GSI and ASI then there might be some tangible results to the whole thing....now it all depends whether faith will prevail over scientific temper or both will win or lose in the end......
All said and done if the gold treasure is indeed there and safely recovered it will definitely help in restoring the balance of payments position of the Nation and swell the gold reserves. The gold is estimated to be about 10 lakh kg in gold.
Further even if gold is not found and some other metallic or priceless objects are found it will definitely aid and abet in discovery of the style and civilization present in those times.
One more thing needs to be added...lets not be cynical or feel 'ashamed' and start attacking the excavation....basically it's an Archaeological Survey of India decision based on facts figures and reports. In any case all old unused forts and ruins wherever they are, do deserve a look in by the ASI...they just might contain imp information buried out there and of course who knows contain some 'treasured and priceless items' too.....
What I find extremely funny is that parties like BJP who are always latching on to saints and seers to gain political mileage, should find fault with the Congress for showing the green flag to a saint's vision or 'concern' for the economy.....so that's what 'dirty' 'scrubby' politics is all about....GROW UP FOLKS....
Cheers to the vision and concern of Shobhan Sarkar...let's appreciate his concern for the economy of India,at least he thinks for it and shows his concern unlike many 'fake' people in political parties who talk of 'Desh Bakhti' but keep back stabbing #India at the slightest pretext ..and let's hope faith prevails over every thing else.......

Snowy loves a car ride
Another anecdote of my Snowy.....whenever he's not eating his food I tell him Snowy we are going out in the car....he loves going for a drive and is generally miserable if left back. As soon as he hears this, he'll start gobbling his food down, and he's such a pet he won't rest till he's finished the last morsel.
After that he'll go bounding up and stand at the door, waiting to be chained to be taken down...
Who would want to leave him behind after such cute and honest activities, and leaving him would entail breaking his trust, which is an awful thing to do...
Sometimes it so happens, Snowy can't be taken out - for obvious reasons either the meeting is important or pets are not allowed there.....in that case the explaining starts.....'Look Snowy, please you can't go with me today, stay at home and look after the house, okay baby...'
Surprisingly Snowy will understand and get under the table. It's really surprising how he can understand Hindi and English but sometimes won't know head or tail of his own lingo.....
A piece of advice to all pet lovers and owners - never take your pets for granted - keep them with the care and love they deserve
Cheers for now!

Sachin Tendulkar is God - serene and iconic
Sachin Tendulkar the cricket icon of India, nay the world and one of the greatest batsman ever has decided to call it off....sounds unbelievable, sounds hollow but yet its true.....hounded by a few 'sick' people who couldn't fathom his unattainable success and perhaps a prisoner of his own larger than life image - Sachin has finally decided to bow out of international cricket.
He could have played on for some more time yet had he been left alone by the 'whimpering brigade' who made life impossible and unpleasant for him by passing uncalled for uncharitable remarks - alas that was not to be.....
All great men have ultimately to bow out somewhere down the line but its the manner in which they go which makes all the difference....
Sachin has played his part to perfection inspite of all odds facing his career graph that too in his own Country....I'm sure nobody in his right mind can be against Sachin his records or his playing style, but its only a few hate mongers who started out with him but retired before him or were dropped who made the loudest noises against him - of course in collaboration with some visual media (as usual).
Anyway that's all forgotten and buried now - the master has taken the final bow and that's it.
We can now reflect in his glory and play and replay his innings over and over again, nothing beyond that.
No more will we able to see the smiling face of Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar come bounding out in full cricketing gear look up once at the sun and take guard for India.....
Yet we can take heart from the fact that he has left behind a legacy in world cricket which would be very difficult to attain let alone surpass....
May Sachin's impression stay on forever and people just continue to adulate him at every step - Cheers!

The progress of India
India today faces multitude problems - but the solutions are also forthcoming - although slowly but steadily....whosoever says India won't prosper or is not prospering is really an enemy of the State - these people really don't know what they're talking about.
It's a fact that India has a host of problems to resolve and any and every step towards resolving a problem is a small step forward - in the right direction.
People who keep criticizing the Congress party for being anti people and not working for the poor need to be more informed regarding the work done by the Congress for the welfare of the common people the man on the street.
All this talk of empowerment of women and children is not mere talk so far as the Congress is concerned - they are doing a lot of work for the poor and down trodden - the result is very much visible.
Here a small appeal needs to be made to voluntary organizations and people with 'integrity' left in them to come forward and help in the re building of India as much as possible.
The real problem lies in uplifting the weaker sections as well as the work force of India - the people who build your bridges, your roads, your buildings, your fly overs - keep your city clean, manage your traffic, keep your drains clean....
All these are the essential workforce of #India - just imagine the importance of their work...they are the ones who keep India ticking - although its a fact that they also need to take their work more seriously....
So keep working - for their uplift as they work for the progress of India - then only we can truly give back to our Nation what it truly gives to us.....Cheers!
